About our products:
Why buying Conde Hermanos Guitars?
Our guitars are the warranty of a brand that has been crafting guitars
since 1915 with their own denomination. During these almost 100 years
our guitars have been used by great figures of each term. It is also a
warranty of material used and finishes in our products.
What difference produces each type of wood regarding sound?
The differences between two guitars are wood and construction.
Regarding the wood, the quality of its fiber and its "veteado"
determine the category.
Concert guitars have better wood according to the model, even tough all
our woods that we use have a minimum drying process (all natural without
any artificial acceleration of drying) of almost 20 years.
Each type of wood has a different application, that’s why the fretboard
is made in Ebony wood to stand the tension of the strings,
the neck in Cedar because of its hardness, resistance
and lightweight. The top is made in spruce to
vibrate allowing the projection of sound.
Regarding the woods used in back and sides:
Rosewood has a great capacity to throw a powerful and
round sound; Cypress sends the sound in a fast and brilliant
way; Maple is a very different sound with its own characteristic
details.
Blanca or negra?
This terminology is used in Flamenco regarding a Cypress
Wood Guitar (blanca) and a Rosewood guitar (negra);
it’s origin goes back to the seventies when Esteso’s Nephews
(our father Mariano and our uncle Faustino) started crafting guitars in
Rosewood. Actually the professional and the average player have both of
them because each one has it’s own sound and he could prefer the
sound of one or the other for certain moments.
How can I know if I own a true Conde Hermanos guitar?
We are having great problems with the falsification and confusion with
the name of our guitars. The best way for not being fooled is –before
buying one of our guitars outside our country- be sure that you are buying
in an authorized dealer worldwide. If you buy directly from a particular
please send us some information.
How can I buy one of your products in my country?
To buy one of our products or one of our guitars in your country, please
make sure to contact an authorized dealer. If there isn’t any please
contact us directly.
Do your products have any warranty?
Our products have a lifetime warranty regarding the quality of the materials
used in its construction (dried naturally) and the crafting of the instrument.
There is no warranty if it’s shocked or if it’s been under
extreme climatic conditions (such as lack (less than 50%) or excess of
humidity); also if the guitar has suffered an irresponsible use of it.
What’s the difference between Classical and Flamenco Guitars?
The main difference between these two types of guitar is construction.
We look for a different action while playing and also a different sound.
Whilst a Classical Guitar has a clean and clear sound, the Flamenco guitar
has a bright and full of attack sound. These are the characteristics of
these two instruments.
