A guitarrist of a unique quality acquires technique by playing in a way that awes everyone, his fingers caress the strings and make one feel inmense emotion, all the notes glide through your body like a current taking the pure transmission through the blood that runs in your veins.
This chemistry graduate was initially trained as a singing companion at the Música en Enseñanza Secundaria beginning in 1998. He had his debut in the flamenco world at the age of nine. His stage debut was at the age of 16 accompanying various singers at renowned festivals. He never stopped learning, he expanded his musical horizons via the master classes he received from Manolo Sanlúcar and Gerardo Núñez and in numerous festivals such as The International Guitar Festival and Mundial Flamenco.
He worked as editor and composer on a dozen recordings for different artists, amongst them Virginia Gámez, a flamenco singer of note. He also participated at different television shows such as Lo que yo te canté, La venta del Duende, Senderos de Gloria, Una llama viva, and Mira la vida.
His concert career has been very fruitful in and outside Spain. He was designated as the main concert player at various festivals and recitals in his native Malaga and also internationally, in Switzerland, Morocco and Germany. He received prizes at competitions such as Mirando a la Torre and at the 5th Andalusian Festival or Young Flamenco Aficionados.
He is also very active in music teaching, collaborating in various flamenco courses at the universities of Malaga, Granada and Jerez. He also taught at the International University “Menendez Pelayo” in Santander, northern Spain. Since 2003 he has been teaching flamenco singing together with Bonela Hijo and Rocio Alcalá at the Malaga municipal school “Miguel de los Reyes”.
